Matrix Revolutions

Rating: R

Stars (out of 4): *

Length: 2 hours, 9 minutes

Synopsis: This compulsory finale to the "Matrix" trilogy is neither intellectually challenging (which the first movie is) nor kinetically captivating (a la the second). "Revolutions" is a boring, joyless exercise in post-MTV filmmaking, made even worse by a plot that is impenetrable. It's like playing a video game in which the rules aren't explained.

Writer-director-star Ben Stiller makes a movie about making a movie that no movie-maker should ever have made. And it's a riot. This is the project that Stiller will be known for, a Vietnam War epic satire that all those years spoofing Hollywood, the industry he grew up in and the people who run it, were leading up to. Showtimes, review and more. Watch trailer.
